바이올리니스트

핀란드 바이올리니스트 마르크 고토니는 헬싱키 시벨리우스 아카데미에서 여섯살의 나이로 음악교육을 시작했고, 뮌헨 아나 추마첸코의 학생이 되었다. 

그는 시카고의 슈무엘 아쉬케나지와 짤즈부르크 산도르 베흐에게 지도를 받았다. 여러 국제 대회에서 우승했고 1991년 핀란드 위베스킬래 예술 페스티발에서 올해의 신인의 영예를 얻었다. 

그는 유럽,이스라엘, 미국, 극동 지역 등지의 주요 페스티발을 포함해 베를린 필하모니, 암스테르담 콘서트 헤바우, 뉴욕 링컨센터, 워싱턴 국회도서관, 런던 위그모어홀, 도쿄 키오이홀 등에서 솔리스트이자 실내악연주자로 전세계에서 연주활동을 하고 있다. 

그는 취리히와 뮌헨 쳄버 오케스트라 수석 바이올리니스트, 2004-08 유럽연합 쳄버 오케스트라 수석이자 음악감독을 역임했다. 그는 오르페우스콰르텟의 제1바이올리니스트, 모차르트피아노콰르텟의 단원으로 활동하며 독일 레이블 MDG - Dabringhaus&Grimm와 음반 녹음을 해왔다. 

독일 베를린예술대학의 바이올린 교수로 재직 중이고 세계 곳곳에서 마스터 클래스를 열고 있으며, 핀란드 사본린나의 챔버뮤직의 악장으로 활동 중이다.

Finnish Violinist Mark Gothoni began his musical training at the age of six at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and subsequently became a pupil of Ana Chumachenco in Munich. He received further guidance from Shmuel Ashkenasi in Chicago and Sandor Vegh in Salzburg. Winner of several international competitions, Gothoni was honored in 1991 as “Debut-of-the-Year” at the Jyväskylä Arts Festival in Finland. Since then he has performed as a soloist and as chamber musician around the globe, including major festivals in Europe, Israel, the United States, and the Far East and concert halls like the Berlin Philharmonie, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Lincoln Center New York, Library of Congress Washington, Wigmore Hall London and Kioi Hall Tokyo. He served as concertmaster of the Zurich and Munich Chamber Orchestras amongst others and in 2004-08 he was the leader and musical director of the European Union Chamber Orchestra. He is the first violinist of the Orpheus Quartet and member of the Mozart Piano Quartet, with which he records exclusively for the German label MDG - Dabringhaus&Grimm. As professor of violin at the University of the Arts Berlin he is giving master classes all over the world and he is head of the chamber music department of the Savonlinna Music Academy in Finland. He plays a 1709 A. Stradivari that belongs to the University of the Arts Berlin.
